Frances Hammel-Kampus
M.Ed. Registered Psychologist (APE) (SK #1012)
Frances is a Registered Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists with an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) which means that she is qualified to diagnose psychological disorders. She is also a member of the Psychology Association of Saskatchewan. As a regulated professional, she adheres to the Canadian Code of Ethics for psychological services.
With experience in both the private and public sectors, Frances is dedicated to providing evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions to her clients and their families. Her approach is solution focused aimed at fostering the growth and development of each client's strengths and resilience by creating a trusting and comfortable relationship with clients and their families. Her focus is on ensuring that goals for assessment and therapy are client-centered and collaborative in nature.
She incorporates components from a range of therapeutic models into her practice including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution Focused (SF) therapy. Frances also offers a range of psychological assessment services including psychological, cognitive, developmental, and autism assessments.
With a commitment to contribute to the field, she provides supervision for graduate-level practicum and internship students in psychology and counselling programs, as well as provisionally registered psychologists.
